Over Achieving & Giving 110%
West Ham apparently over achieved last season because Bilic had the players giving him 110%

Are either of these concepts possible?

If 110% effort in a game isn't possible. I would imagine covering every blade of grass to be extremely difficult.

However hard you try, you can only give your maximum.

100%

This really isn't rocket science.

Re: Over Achieving & Giving 110%
I reckon it might be. You are at your whole - 100% - and you give your all.

You work hard on your fitness and strength and increase them. Work hard on your technique and touch and improve them. Your whole has increased , let's say by 10% , you are now giving 110%

Ta da! You

110% isn't possible in terms of giving effort.
